The Washington Post article, "Bride and Joy: Guiding Mom Down the Aisle," was optioned for a movie in 2004, starring Goldie Hawn. MGM still has the rights to it as of March 2007. In true Hollywood style, the project has been through many producers, screenwriters, and owners.
