FRANCESCA SEGRÈ

The glam life of a writer.

Nice legs. Not mine.

My Writing

Daughter of the Bride
This book started out as a fictionalized memoir inspired by my experience watching my mom remarry. By now it's a novel, complete with panic fantasies of a 60-year old woman's bachelorette party, reflections on why marriage is no longer reserved for the young, and proof that in our parents’ remarriages, it’s never too late to find love. Bride and Joy: Guiding Mom Down the Aisle
This is the personal essay, that launched my writing career. This short story about marrying my mom off got published in The Washington Post, and prompted a book deal and a movie deal.

The Modern Jewish Girl's Guide to Guilt
I never thought my "colorful" dating life would amount to much. But in the end, it provided me with plenty of material. If only those poor guys knew how risky it was to date me!Click here to read an excerpt.
